THE AWESOME POWER OF A WIFE'S LOVE

A very old man lay dying in his bed. In death's doorway, he suddenly smelled the aroma of his favorite chocolate chip cookie wafting up the stairs.
He gathered his remaining strength and lifted himself from the bed. Leaning against the wall, he slowly made his way out of the bedroom, and with even greater effort forced himself down the stairs, gripping the railing with both hands.
With labored breath, he leaned against the door frame, gazing into the kitchen. Were it not for death's agony, he would have thought himself already in heaven.
There, spread out on newspapers on the kitchen table were literally hundreds of his favorite chocolate chip cookies.
Was it heaven? Or was it one final act of heroic love from his devoted wife, seeing to it that he left this world a happy man?
Mustering one great final effort, he threw himself toward the table. The aged and withered hand, shaking, made its way to a cookie at the edge of the table, when he was suddenly smacked with a spatula by his wife.
"Stay out of those," she said. "They're for the funeral.

Intro

Hi! If you are reading this you have apparently accessed the introduction of "the wonderful thing about tiggers is..." the one and only Robert Allen *taggarooski" Atkins!?! And aren't you just thrilled!?!
But seriously folks, this is the blogspot and introduction of the individual named above for the BU 2010 Spring 02 Met AD648 Intro to ECommerce & Web Design.
I know you are dying to find out who I am so, allow me to tell you; most-famously I am the grandfather of Luke, Kayla, Leif, and either Owen or Miles (I think that is how it is spelled but, the final decision of naming is yet to be determined). In addition, there is potentially another in the oven and our eldest children are working diligently at starting their family.
Please indulge me in introducing the parents; Springfield, TN's own Luke Allen Atkins' (8 months) mommy and daddy are Amber Dawne Hickman-Atkins & Shane Aaron Atkins.
From Missoula, MT, Kayla Lynn Wallaces' (6 yrs) Mommy is Shawna Lee Olson and her Daddy is T.J. Wallace.
Leif Husemoller (8 yrs) of Great Falls, MT's proud Mommy and Daddy are Wava Husemoller and Dustin Ray Olson. They are the parents who are expecting another little one in June. Wava, Dusty, Leif, and the baby need your prayers.

I mentioned, our eldest children; Austin Jay & Sarah Cook-Olson reside in gloomy and dismal San Diego, CA. Now that Sarah has completed her Masters' they are working to start expansion of their little family (GO SARAH GO!-we need a reason to visit SD!).
Our family also consists of Mason-orange kitty, Rickey-black 'labruspitheelpoo' (ie. mutt), Tiki-tiger-striped kitty, her sister Ronde-gray kitty, Griz-chow-mix, Josiah Belle-gorgeous, superior, specimen of the species, yellow lab, and Koko Tamar-our extremely personable & charming (just ask her) chocolate lab.
My wife, Laurie, and I live in rural gracious & growing Ashland City, Tennessee. A suburb of Nashville, situated some 35 miles to the west and slightly northwest of the famous city.
I work in Music City for the electric power distributor, the Nashville Electric Service (NES), to Davidson County and Greater Metro Nashville as a Senior Associate Engineer in the New Business Group of Customer Engineering. I have been with NES for 18 years last January and in engineering for 13 of those years.
My online educational journey began in January 2006 at Colorado Technical University - Online. Peculiarily (say that three times fast-or even once normally), my first class was Introduction to E-Commerce. Now, here at the end of the journey, this is my final class in obtaining my MSPM, again I find myself in Intro to E-Commerce & Web Design. I wonder if there is some profound meaning to that?
I will be posting photos of our grandchildren as my wife provides. Stay tuned!
